Job overview
In the context of blackcrows’ physical retail expansion plan, the brand is looking for a Senior Manager, Retail Operations in order to help lead and accelerate retail store operational excellence. The role will oversee the areas of Store Design and Development, Project Management, Trade Marketing and Retail Operations across a growing network of permanent locations and temporary pop-up stores.
The role will be in charge of delivering blackcrows’ physical retail roadmap and will strengthen the output of the company’s retail department to help achieve company-wide business objectives. They will also provide leadership to in-store sales teams and support them in developing both personal and professional competencies.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role, with an opportunity to lead the opening of new retail locations, shape a truly unique brand experience for our guests, and deliver stronger retail ops standards.
Key responsabilities

Stay ahead of global retail trends and bring innovative thinking to the evolution of our consumer experience.
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of Blackcrows’ global physical retail expansion—delivering immersive “nest” concepts that reflect the brand’s DNA and deepen community engagement.
- Oversee the end-to-end development of new retail locations, from design and build-out to operational launch, ensuring consistent brand standards and retail excellence.
- Drive revenue and profitability across all physical retail formats, with full ownership of 4-wall performance and channel-level P&L accountability.
- Build and empower high-performing store teams through recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and a shared culture of excellence and authenticity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, E-Commerce, Product, and Wholesale to ensure integrated go-to-market strategies and holistic brand storytelling.
- Develop and execute trade marketing initiatives in partnership with agencies and creative teams to elevate the Blackcrows experience across both retail and wholesale footprints.
- Identify and act on growth opportunities—including market entries, pop-up activations, and omni-channel integrations—to continually evolve our retail ecosystem.
- Shape and maintain best-in-class retail operations by defining scalable systems, workflows, KPIs, and training programs to support expansion and consistency.
- Translate Blackcrows’ brand values into physical retail environments and customer interactions, ensuring cultural alignment and brand resonance across all touchpoints.
- Oversee location-level annual planning including budgeting, forecasting, sales performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & profile
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in retail sales and operations within a premium or lifestyle brand; multi-store management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading the launch and scale of new retail locations—from site selection and concept creation to grand opening and team ramp-up.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top retail talent; confident managing both field teams and HQ stakeholders.
- Expertise in retail operations and store-opening protocols, with excellent project management skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Deep understanding of clienteling, visual merchandising, and the experiential components of retail that drive loyalty and differentiation.
- Highly collaborative and cross-functional: able to build bridges across departments to execute aligned and agile strategies.
- Globally minded, with a pulse on international retail trends, consumer behaviors, and market dynamics.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance creativity with operational discipline.
- Proactive and hands-on, thriving in dynamic environments where resourcefulness and initiative are key.
- Willing and able to travel regularly for store visits, openings, and cross-market initiatives.
- Fluent in English and French; proficiency in Italian or German is a plus.
- Paris-based role with required in-office presence (central Paris HQ).
